It's a .......Girl!!!!

Well the doctor called and told me that everything looked good from the amnio, and most important of all.... It's a GIRL!!!! I am soooo excited. I would have been happy either way, but I am really excited that Savannah will have a little sister to play with and grow up with. It has meant so much to me having sisters and I am so happy that she will be able to experience that as well. Nicholas loves having a little sister, so now he will get to have two! Now I can start planning the nursery. I didn't realize how ecstatic I would be, but I want to jump up and down. Of course I can't because I am at work. I just feel so blessed to be carrying a healthy baby girl.

Dean and I had a wonderful time on our cruise. We left Savannah w/ my family and had some grow-up time. We went on a 5 night cruise out of Galveston and stopped in Cozumel and Progreso Mexico. It was so nice to get away. Here are a few pics

We're Pregnant!

I am starting this Baby Journal to keep everyone up to date on my pregnancy. After a year of trying and one miscarriage, we are finally expecting!!!
I first got my positive test on October 27 (Savannah's B-day). What a great day! I was in shock and called the doctor immediately. After going in for multiple blood tests, it looked like everything was good! We had our first Ultrasound on 11/20/08 and got to hear the heartbeat! That is when I was able to relax a little and it started to sink in!!! We are so excited, and so are Savannah and Nicholas! I had my second Ultrasound on 12/19 and everything looked great. Doctor is happy with baby's progress and so am I! I am measuring right on time. I am due July 5. Here is the pic:


We had already planned a trip in January, so we called it our "Babymoon." We went on a 5 night cruise to Mexico and had a great relaxing time. I have been very blessed not to be sick (again).

On Jan. 20 I had an amnio, and we are now waiting for the results. We should know something by Friday. I can't wait to find out if it is a girl or boy! Savannah is determined that it's a girl, but I'll be happy either way! During the amnio we got to see the babies hands, feet, brain, spine, and heart beating. However it did not cooperate so we couldn't tell the gender. We will know 100% from the amnio results in a few days.
