Yes, after many years of saying "I will never drive a minivan," I have broken down and decided to get one. It just makes so much sense with three kids. I don't really know why I felt that way. I guess I thought that would mean I was growing up and becoming my mom. Well, what's wrong with that? I am very proud now to say that I have "become my mother." She was a wonderful mom and I love it that I am becoming more and more like her. She didn't really have a minivan until after I left home for college, but she loved that thing. At the time I thought it was so dorky. Well I do have to say that minivans have come along way, but they have always been roomy and functional, and I am so glad we got one! I love pushing a button to open the sliding doors for the kids and not having to worry about them dinging the cars next to us. I love that there are a million cupholders, lots of room for everyone to ride and move around, a DVD player w/ wireless headphones and a remote that the kids can operate on their own, and plenty of cargo room for all or our luggage when we go on trips. What was I thinking all those years? For those of you that say you will never drive one- Never say never!
We got a 2005 Saturn Relay and it is sporty yet functional. Here are a few pics.
I will NEVER drive a mini van. You look great!
